Intro: Author Bio + Netherealm Beginnings

    

    My name is Carla Lara and I am the owner/author of Netherealm Reviews. Here I write my personal reviews on horror films I’ve watched in my spare time so you don't have to! As most avid horror enthusiasts know, there are fantastic films out there but to find them you must sit down for hours, and sometimes days, at a time weeding out the bad ones. Have no fear: I do that for you. Based on my reviews, you can judge whether or not you'd like to watch them yourself.

    Please bear with me as I'm still in the early stages of blog building and I apologize in advance for any technical issues and/or non-user friendly features you may encounter. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your patience.

    Apart from being a life-long horror film enthusiast, I am a licensed funeral director/embalmer in Chicago. Not only do I love what I do but my career is incredibly inspiring. I am also what I call a "half-musician” which I define as someone who plays every now and then with nothing pressing on their lap at the moment, so to speak. I also write poetry (poetry page link in the side bar), play video games, have a passion for makeup and arts + crafts, enjoy weight lifting, read when my attention span allows it, addicted to coffee, and a cat mom to a stinky, black cat Jake. My life is rich and well-rounded!

    My absolute favorite horror movies are whichever Vincent Price stars in but otherwise, some of my favorite horror movies off the top of my head are found footage films and the Child’s Play series. I’ll make sure to hype up my favorites as I keep writing. I tend to get very passionate...

    In this blog, I will rate films by a system I'm currently working on but will always give an overall rating. Last but not least, I will gladly take any recommendations you may have. The horror realm is vast with much to explore and I am your captain on this journey.
